Artificial Intelligence or Intelligence of the Artificial? Where Does the True Power of Intelligence Lie?
What is the future of humanity in view of AI?
Do we really need human intelligence in an age of artificial intelligence? What significance do human responsibility, human creativity, and human intelligence have in the age of AI? In an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, the question is no longer merely what machines can do but what humans remain responsible for. This lecture, "Artificial Intelligence or Intelligence of the Artificial? Where Does the True Power of Intelligence Lie? "critically interrogates the shifting contours of human relevance in a world driven by algorithmic precision and machine learning.
Professor Francisca will probe the enduring significance of human intelligence, creativity, and moral responsibility in the development and deployment of AI technologies.
Far from being autonomous, AI systems are fundamentally shaped by the assumptions, intentions, and values of their human creators and users. By questioning whether AI intelligence is truly “artificial” or simply an extension of human intellect, the lecture challenges us to consider not just how we use AI, but how our humanity is expressed, preserved, or compromised through its use.
